Lil' King and Lil' King S Upgrades

Just like the Lazy Js, Headstrong amps are built using a 'forbon' circuit board, known for becoming warped, conductive, and noisy over time.

 

Rift now offers an upgraded board made from FR4, ensuring your problems are eliminated whilst retaining the core tone and playability that you love.


The Mods

1 - The stock ‘forbon’ circuit board, known for becoming conductive over time, is removed, and a new Keystone eyelet board made from FR4 is installed. Sprague electrolytics, MF and MO resistors, and quality tone capacitors are used to improve the noise floor of the amplifier.



2 - A HT fuse is fitted, along with a safety resistor so that the amplifier can not hold a lethal charge when switched off



3 - A lead dress improvement is carried out to reduce unwanted noise



4 - The Mains wiring is brought up to all current safety regulations, ensuring complete compliance and piece of mind
