Build a 5E3 Deluxe
A two-day one-to-one intensive course where you get to build your very own handwired guitar amplifier under the tuition of Chris Fantana, owner of Rift Amplification
You’ll get to build (and take home with you) one of the most famous guitar amplifiers ever designed, the 5E3 narrow-panel Tweed Deluxe. This amplifier has been popular with musicians since the 50s, and for good reason, they sound fantastic.
In order to ensure that the amplifier is built, fired up, tested, and completed within two-days, a strict build schedule will be adhered to with no-room for tweaks or modifications. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you modifying your completed amplifier at home, so go crazy!
The days run from 9:30-5:30, starting with a quick cup of coffee before heading straight over to the solder station to start the build. You’ll do every step of the build yourself, with Chris and the team keeping a watchful eye over your progress, offering hints and tips along the way.
The course is hard work with much to get done in a short timeframe, so a positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential along with a spot of good humour.
This course is run on Thursday and Fridays throughout the year from Rift’s workshop near Brackley, Northamptonshire, and is easily reachable from both M40 and M1 motorways. The local pub serves excellent food and also offers accommodation if you need it.
