Expanding my line of TV fronted amplifiers, the larger 1x15" was the obvious next choice. The circuit is similar to the Tweed 15TV, but has a few vital differences that really set it apart.

It uses a pair of 6L6 power valves to drive the huge 15" speaker, along with an extra 6SL7 valve in the preamp section. Putting out a healthy 25w, it's an easy amp to play in a varietyof settings, whether you need clean or drive tones.

This amp just looks amazing, and with a circuit designed in the late 40s it certainly has the tone to match.

Plugging into one of these amps straight after playing a norrow-panel Pro allows you to appreciate both the similarites and not-so subtle differences of the two circiuts. This amp has a lo-fi vocal quality, reminicscent of old blues tracks on dirty vinyl. I can imagine a delta-blues player pluggin in his resonator and howling away in a smokey club.  The cleans, especially with a Telecaster, allow you to cover a wide range of country and americana tones with ease.
